Click in the image to enlarge Through this digital information system, all actors of the sanitary process will be able to consult clinical related data and will be able to have a more unitary and integrated view of medical treatments of citizens, beginning with the clinical relations of diagnosed services and first level specialities. This technological resource allows professionals to access the medical records of patients, which contributes to the effectiveness, treatment continuity and to quicker clinical decision making. Another benefit is the on-line access to laboratorial exam results. The evaluation regarding the implementation of a broad health management system in the municipal health department will be highly positive, with an important impact in the quality improvement of offered service attention, in the construction flows that make patient servicing more agile, in the decrease of queue size and patient waiting time and mainly in the development of mechanisms that improve management process of medical units, particularly offering subsidies to the family health teams focusing on the planning, monitoring and activity evaluation. The integration of assistance activities and administrative aspects, present in the biological material collection, pharmacy, material storage, permits a better use of existing resources, improving control mechanisms and the consequent impact in the costs of the offered service. The system is structured in functional modules related to activities of patient data collection, patient service, pharmacy, service register, urgency, scheduling, human resource management, materials, contracts and costs.
