Labour Health and Security

The construction of a health and security database in working environments, in the internet, has a main objective of being a reference point to the health of workers, where all participating members can easily find all the information related to the documentation and to instruments that improve the quality of work environments, besides making available information and knowledge, in a systematic and continuous fashion.

This sub-project analyses relevant topics like legislation, chemical security, health vigilance for workers, statistical and epidemical data, work related diseases, up-to-date issues that need to be better discussed with society like: moral harassment, mental suffering; informal, slave and under-aged work.

With this objective, a database structure is already being elaborated and will approach the following topics:

News -
to update continuously workers and interested sectors;

Legislation -
to update workers and interested sectors regarding laws, decrees, regulating norms, instructions, technical notes, technical recommendations and international conventions that regulate the topic;Health and occupational security encyclopedia from the International Work Organisation;

Orientation guides - manuals, protocols and guides to health and security management;

Statistical data -
updated from the year 2000; Chemical security; Bio-security, Information systems;

Diverse topics - marble production, stone polish, cancerous substances, accident investigations, respiratory protection, noise and PAIR, LER/DORT, radiation, pneumoconioses, occupational dermatoses, moral harassment and mental suffering, machine protection, informal work, degrading and slave work, under-aged work;

Micro-business orientation - PPRA, PCMSO, PPP, EPI's, CIPA, prevention and fire-fighting and sanitary conditions of work environments.
